Ahoy there mate!

For some reason I'm feeling in a nautical mood right now, just hung up a bunch of sailing and beach pictures, and I'm currently listening to Jack Johnson...now if only the outdoors could match my thoughts. Until then, I will pine for this door mat by Nautical Luxuries. As well as buy myself this Turks Head knot bracelet made from jersey cotton.

I don't know what it is, but I've started this weird obsession with salt and pepper shakers. The Earl ones from Mode bring out the inner science geek in me.

While we're on the subject of science tools used in the home, I love this idea from Apartment Therapy. You organize all your different spices in test tubes. I think it adds a neat little punch of color in the kitchen.

Happy Chinese New Year!

It's the year of the Tiger...which just so happens to be my year, and my favorite animal. So I'm determined to make this my year!

Just found this article from the Austinist called "A Guy's Guide to Snagging an Austin Hipster", totally hilarious, and somewhat true.

Just saw White Denim play at Antone's Saturday night, so I'm totally into listening to their new album Fits right now.

So I'm totally going to start looking for a used piano so I can paint it teal like this couple did for their wedding invitations. I'm thinking Sherwin Williams Oceanside would be the perfect color. Also, to completely torture myself, I came across the most wonderful looking hammock ever. Le sigh...I wish it were spring already.
